Una sorpresa all’Automotoretrò 2009 di Torino è stata una esposizione dedicata alla collezione di giocattoli d’epoca Bossina-Cravetto, che, anche se collocata in un ambiente poco luminoso, ha messo in mostra diversi pezzi di notevole interesse e di una certa rarità: non sempre accade di vedere in una vetrina ben quattro Alfa Romeo 1900 sprint della Ventura, o le tre grandi vetture fabbricate dalla Jep negli anni ’30: Rolls Royce, Hispano-Suiza e Renault 40 HP tutte insieme.
Su un ampio ripiano era mostrata una grande collezione di modelli e giocattoli Ferrari, mentre alcuni mobili in centro sala avevano una nutrita serie di grandi autocarri giocattolo. Fra i pezzi rari spiccavano anche due vetture della Domo, con teleguida, l’Alfa Romeo P2 della CIJ francese e due Lancia D24 della Mercury in scala 1:12.
La Maserati Domo era simpaticamente circondata da segnali stradali e altri accessori che si trovavano nella confezione originale e che potevano servire a improvvisare un circuito casalingo con prove di slalom.
Anche altri modelli erano ambientati con rimesse e distributori d’epoca, cosa che ne accresceva il fascino. Al centro della sala vi erano anche alcune auto a pedali, fra cui spiccava la bella Austin A40 della Triang, perfettamente restaurata come se si trattasse di una vera automobile.
A surprise was present at the 2009 Turin’s Automotoretrò, consisting in a special exhibition devoted to the Bossina-Cravetto antique toy collection, that, despite being shown in a quite dark hall, allowed us to see some very interesting and rare pieces: not often we are allowed to see four examples of the same Alfa Romeo 1900 Sprint by Ventura, or the three bigger tinplate cars made by Jep in the Thirties together: the Rolls Royce, the Hispano-Suiza and the Renault 40 hp.
On a vast table a notable Ferrari collection of toys and die-cast models was displayed, while on some wooden furniture in the middle of the hall were shown many toy lorries and trucks. Among the scarcest toys there were two different Domo remote control cars, the famous Alfa Romeo P2 racing car by French CIJ and two different Lancia D24 by Mercury in 1:12 scale.
The Domo Maserati was pretty shown with road signs and other accessories that were originally packed with it, and that allowed to sign an hone race track to follow.
Other tinplate toys were shown with garages and petrol pumps of about the same times, that enhance their appearance. In the middle of the hall there were also some pedal cars, among them the wonderful Austin A40 by Triang, restored as if it was an actual cars.
